There’s an archery place in Tigard, Archers Afield, which has special homeschool sessions twice a month. Both kids have been excited by the idea of bows, so today we went for the first time and let them have a try at it. The guy managing the kids (and some adults) was great — although my boys were the youngest guys there, he really kept things simple for them and they were both successful in sending arrows to the hay bales.
Ryan was disappointed that we came home without “his” bow, though. I told him we have to go at least five times before I’ll consider a bow of our own, so in two weeks we’ll see if they want to go again.
